Wu Tsang and Moved by the Motion stage Composition V (rebellious birds), a contemporary adaption of the iconic tragic opera Carmen, as part of the Theatre Picasso exhibition programme at the Tate Modern in October, 2025.
This partially improvised & devised piece of interdisciplinary theatre was created and performed by dancers Tosh Basco & Josh Johnson, pianist Jonathan Lakeland, soprano Julieth Lozano, saxophonist Tapiwa Svosve and director Wu Tsang, with lighting design by Andy Purves.
