British-American musician Jonathan Palmer Lakeland is a conductor, répétiteur/coach, and recital accompanist whose work has been described as “pointed and dramatic” (Robert Hugill, PlanetHugill), and as “wordless eloquence…he supported the singers with both brio and sensitivity, clearly relishing his involvement in the dramatic narrative” (Margaret Tattersall, The Herald, Stratford-upon-Avon).

This season, Jonathan makes his conducting debut in Vienna, leading a production of Tobias Picker's "Therese Raquin" with Theatre an der Wien / the Kammeroper.

He has worked at opera companies, venues, and conservatoires around the world, including Theatre an der Wien, Wigmore Hall, the Sir Georg Solti Accademia, Northern Ireland Opera, the Royal Academy of Music/Royal Academy Opera, the Tanglewood Music Center, among many others.
